Our marrige proposal

July 27, 2020 / By josh

Disneyland dates quickly became a weekly occurrence after Josh surprised Lindsay on her birthday with a pass. With the shutdown of Disneyland in March of 2020, that quickly changed their go-to options but throughout the pandemic, their relationship grew into one that both knew was rooted in love and security. He had tried to come up with different places that were significant to them both and ultimately was convinced by his brother and sister-in-law that if he was going to propose that the re-opening weekend of Disneyland was the place to ask.

The excitement of going back to Disneyland was the perfect cover for all of the nerves of proposing.  Lindsay had thought it could be possible but was also extremely distracted by the chance to go back to their special place after almost a year.

The first two hours of the day were spent doing all the things they didn’t “normally” do. Take a picture in front of the castle. Go on the carousel. Ride Thunder Mountain before even going near Pirates of the Caribbean.  Finally it was time to head towards the ride that was “theirs!”  As they approached Josh put down his backpack and  Lindsay was confused why they were not heading towards the designated line spot.  With a big smile on his face, Josh asked Lindsay if she would marry him and of course she could only respond with a yes! A yes given in a manor only Lindsay could deliver, and only Josh would understand was a yes.

Thank you for being a part of our journey as partners in life and sharing this special time on our wedding day!
